As a well-known author from San Diego, I have it pretty good. Even when I head to the Rocky Mountains for a writing retreat, I know my life is more interesting than most. Sort of. Okay, not really. My life is boring and there’s something missing within it.
Then I run into the man who owns the cabin I’ll be staying at. He’s grumpy and blunt but he’s hot as hell. When he starts showing up at my cabin to spend time with me, I get confused. Why? Because by looks alone, he’s way out of my league.
And then he shifts into this giant wolf to save my life and my world becomes that of fiction.
He tells me that he’s the alpha to his wolf pack and that I’m his mate. Me? A human? To say I didn’t take it in stride is an understatement. I refuse to acknowledge that I belong in a world that I simply write about.
