About this listen

I was finally getting my life on track. I didn't expect my best friend to set it on fire.

Milo Richardson

My life is finally starting to fall into place. My band is leveling up. We're playing bigger gigs. And I'm one step away from landing my dream job, even if it means leaving everything behind.

Including him.

Ryder Scott has always been my best friend. The one constant. The one person I've never stopped wanting… even when I knew I couldn't have him. Because he was straight.

But now he's back—living with me, looking at me differently, touching me like he's been holding back for years. And I don't know what's more dangerous, letting myself believe this is real…or realizing I might lose him all over again when I leave.

Ryder Scott

Becoming a firefighter was supposed to be my fresh start. A life that made sense.

Then one night with another guy at the station changes everything. Because it wasn't just about him. It was about Milo. My best friend. The one I can't stop thinking about. The one person I've never been able to let go of.

Now I'm back home, living under the same roof, trying to figure out what this means—what I am, and whether I'm already too late. Because Milo has a future waiting for him somewhere else. And if I don't take the risk now…I'll lose him for good.

More Than a Spark is book 6 in the Rock U series and features best friends to lovers, bisexual awakening, firefighter x rockstar vibes, forced proximity, found family, emotional healing, and a love that burns hotter the longer it's denied.

Sad this series has ended but what a finale. I finally got to hear Milo's story. I knew a bit of Milo's dating from reading Stick by Me where I read Archer's story. So I was curious about what Milo wanted. Well straight away we find out he wanted Ryder his supposedly straight fireman best friend. This was one of the best best friend trope books I have read, Why? they communicated, with where their relationship was going and over other stuff and my(fan myself) Milo and Ryder were hot together . Also best epilogue I have read in a while.
The narration as usual was perfect and there was no confusion which character's scene I was listening too. Now I have finished this series narrated by Finnley Cole. I am going to see what other series they have narrated.
A great series that is a must listen too

The narrator has done another excellent job and really brought out the best of this book.
Story - 4 stars. A good ending to a very enjoyable series. It was sweet how Milo finally got to act on the feelings he had for his best friend. Ryder's bi-awakening was well thought out, and I liked the coming out scenes. The wrap-up at the end was a great addition. The characters for the next series have already been introduced, and I hope there will be occasional updates on these band members and their "band wives", a beautiful supportive family.

excellent series ending

A cute, low angst romance. The connection between Riley and Milo was so strong. Their friendship and love obvious, but as things changed between them they only got better. The story is low on drama and high on sweetness. It's an easy read, with characters you can't help but like. No real miscommunication, in this one. This pair are upfront…they talk….they listen….I really liked that. On their path to their HEA, there’s some baggage unpacking for both of them to do, but they get there relatively painlessly, with the help of each other and their wonderful friends. The dialogue and interactions between all the friends was fun and real, I do like a good found family story. Sometimes a stress free read is just what you need, the ending had me smiling. 4.5 🌟 overall.

Finlay Cole does a cracking job as narrator, he really shows the bond between Milo and Riley, and brought them to life. I do enjoyed how upbeat the story is.

Sweet low angst romance.

This story focuses on Milo and Ryder. These guys have been friends forever. Milo has almost always known he was in love with Ryder but Ryder is straight. They follow their separate careers until something changes. This brings their attention to the relationship they have that might be changing.

The scene where Milo confesses is such a heart breaker. He never thought they would get to the point they do.

This is an emotional story because Milo’s feelings are out front from the beginning. It makes this story hard to set aside.

The secondary characters play a big part in the story so it’s really good to have heard the previous books.

The narration by Finnley Cole really brought the story to life. Each character had a distinct feeling.
