Lolcows: The Internet’s Never-Ending Tragedy is the world’s first book on the subject of internet lolcows. The word is a portmanteau of "lol" — laugh out loud and "cow" — someone who is milked. A lolcow is someone that is baited or tricked into responding to trolls thereby “milking” them for amusing reactions. The life of the lolcow is a story of tumultuous lies, deceit, manipulation, emotional breakdowns, crash outs, and financial ruin. The dramatic rise and fall story is familiar to us all. But unlike the fictional heroes of screen or Shakespeare, they are real life people that exist in the real world. We will explore this niche internet subculture. The origins of the lolcow, their traits, and their pattern of behavior. We will also examine the biography of six hand selected lolcows across different genres and internet eras. Each lolcow provides a tragic rise and fall story, but also an opportunity to learn. This book will explore the lessons in lolcows and how they can serve as examples for us.

Great book brand book - just as good as Luther's YouTube videos!

this was a better listen than I initially thought. if you like essay style YouTube videos then this will be a pleasant listen. Luther's voice is monotone and analytical which is nice because it means it's not tiring to listen to.
there's a surprising amount of thought into the psychology behind these people considering they are just drama fodder to many on the internet.
Luther Morgan also recaps each lolcows story well, for instance some of these people I knew little to nothing about before this audiobook but Luther managed to tell me about about them so as not to be lost without context.
a psychological look at lolcows
