Sripada Subrahmanya Sastri is one of the prominent fiction writers of the 20th century (April 23, 1891 - February 25, 1961). He was extremely skillful at playing with language and using unique dialects to convey a meaning. 'Vadla Ginjalu' is a collection of 14 stories. The stories begin with dialogues straightaway.
