Summary

Katy Carter knows she's no domestic goddess: she's scatterbrained, she needs a fire extinguisher at the ready when she's cooking and she daily falls off the diet wagon. I liked the cover and it was on catalogue plus, so I decided to listen to it. Love the narration, Emma did a great job interpreting Kate and all other characters here, loved her accent too, she was perfect. This is a good rom com, but I almost dnf it because Kate was soooo annoying and such a doormat in the first many chapters I couldn’t stand her. So, I listen to the first 2/3 of the book at much faster speed. The last 1/3 of the book was really good and the conclusion was just perfect. There is no spice here at all but there are so many lol moments that it’s totally worth it.

loved it. A lot of laugh out loud moment. At parts I was getting frustrated though as just wanted her to end up with her hero but all in all it was great

I skirted around this for months not thinking I’d like it but ‘it would do’ if I didn’t have anything else to listen to. Just finished it and really enjoyed it. It’s not the sort of thing I’d normally choose but a great light-hearted listen.

Katy was so relatable, and it's great to have a leading lady that is real and not perfect. The narrator was mostly great, although the voice for Gabriel jangled my nerves a bit. I will definitely look out for more titles by this author.
