This is a fun and steamy story with some real emotion, well narrated by both actors. Grumpy/ sunshine, fake relationship, second chance, found family. So many great tropes!

This is a long story, but it's one that you have to listen to all at once! That is what I did because I could not stop! Kate Canterbary has a gem with In a Jam! What do you do when you are dumped right before your wedding? Shay goes back home, to the place her step grandmother took care of her! The place she couldn't wait to leave. Maybe she can figure out her life there. But the caveats in her will leave her with a few decisions to make. Noah is there, the skinny, high school boy, who now is a gorgeous man in a suit, with the solution. A fake, secret wedding so they can both benefit from the terms of the will. Plus, his unrequited feelings would continue to grow and the biggest plus, Shay can help his niece with tutoring. But how will it end? This book has it all. Laugh out loud scenes, romance all the time, a snarky 6 year old that is impossible not to love, delicious bread and lots of jam! I loved every minute of this amazing book. Full of obstacles and a bit of drama, including tears, it's a listen that you too will not be able to put down.

To make it even better, Kit Swann and Jason Clarke brought it to my ears! Swann is amazing as Shay. She has layers upon layers, each one peeling away and her voice let me hear the changes in her. Clarke's warmth and underlying feeling of love had me loving Noah from the start. Both have spot on comedic timing and as Gennie they pull off this amazing child. Loved it!

I loved this book when it was published and I now love the audiobook version too.
As always Jason Clarke turns in a fabulous performance.
I'm less familiar with Kit Swann but she was equally impressive narrator.
Kate canterbary has once again written a beautiful and heartfelt story ❤️

When I heard that this book was going to be translated, the first thing I did was look for it in English - and the reviews were amazing, the praise and overall the high ratings made me want it even more!
When I saw that the bloggers I follow highly recommend this book for me it was a sign from heaven to start. 😍

You know that feeling when a book is just too good? So good that you skimp on the pages because you don't want it to end?
It takes me less than a day to finish a book, I dragged this book for 3 days! I heard it in audio version and it was so great that I couldn't stop smiling.
And after I finished the book, I was left with a 𝖍𝖔𝖑𝖊 in my heart that only an amazing book leaves you with, knowing that it will take you a very long time to find a book just like this Master that will 𝖘𝖜𝖊𝖊𝖕 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖆𝖜𝖆𝖞 and make you fall in love like that🥹

One of the best romantic comedies I've come across!
Soooo romance, the kind that will make you blush and giggle like a girl in love.
It had everything I love and more - small towns (they have a charm that the big cities just 𝖉𝖔𝖓'𝖙 have), a 𝖌𝖗𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖞 MMC with a hilarious little girl that'll make you laugh so much, an strong plus-size MFC with a group of friends that will make you want to be part of the most amazing besties group, 𝖋𝖆𝖐𝖊-𝖒𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖎𝖆𝖌𝖊 and even a 𝖋𝖆𝖐𝖊-𝖗𝖊𝖑𝖆𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖍𝖎𝖕, from childhood friends to lovers, I will reveal to you another secret that is not a 𝖘𝖕𝖔𝖎𝖑𝖊𝖗 at all 🫶🏻 Do you know that the couple 𝖇𝖗𝖔𝖐𝖊 𝖚𝖕 due to 𝖑𝖆𝖈𝖐 of communication? This 𝖚𝖓𝖓𝖊𝖈𝖊𝖘𝖘𝖆𝖗𝖞 and 𝖘𝖙𝖚𝖕𝖎𝖉 𝖇𝖗𝖊𝖆𝖐𝖚𝖕 and just 𝖜𝖆𝖘𝖙𝖎𝖓𝖌 your time being 𝖒𝖎𝖘𝖊𝖗𝖆𝖇𝖑𝖊? It 𝖉𝖔𝖊𝖘𝖓'𝖙 exist in this book!!!!!!

I cannot say enough about In a Jam. I'm absolutely in love with Noah and Shay and Gennie, Noah's 6-yr-old niece.

In a Jam is definitely a bit of a slow burn, but the pining and the love between Noah and Shay is palpable from the beginning. What Shay doesn't realize when she's reunited with her high-school friend is that his love was always of the romantic kind, even way back when.

Noah found himself back in their small hometown raising his niece and running the family farm, where he was always waiting for Shay to come back. Shay found her way back only after the death of her Grandma Lottie, forced to return to claim the property that she inherited. And it's perfect timing for Shay, because her life has just blown up in a spectacular fashion.

Noah is there for Shay from the day she returns, whether she wants it or not, whether she recognizes or it, when she realizes how much she needs it or not. Noah helps her realize that she's worth the love, and he patiently waits for her to realize just how much he truly, genuinely loves her for who and what she is. I love that Kate Canterbary writes real characters, with real emotions, and complex feelings like anxiety and self doubt.

Add to this mix the most adorable, foul-mouthed, honest and funny 6-year-old in Gennie, and oh, my, this is just an amazing listen all around. Gennie left me in stitches. The audio, narrated by Kit Swann and Jason Clarke, is fantastic. Kit perfectly captures Shay's spirit and her uncertainty. Jason is a wonderful broody, growly jam-man Noah.
