Don't be put off by the low ratings - this book is just as good as the previous two in the series, with the same excellent narrator. The focus of the story shifts in each short chapter and this can be harder to follow in audio than in print. That's particularly so with the necessary backstory which is drip-fed into the book in parts and that can be confusing in an audio book. So it's helpful to have the book version as well as the audio, which is fine as the book is free on Kindle Unlimited including the audiobook! Rather than buy the audiobook, get a one month subscription to Kindle Unlimited, and listen to all the books in the series in conjunction with the digital copy!

both my wife and I found this extremely hard to follow. the back tracking was particularly unnecessary. we choose this book after just watching the are murders on Netflix which we thought was very good
