Was obsessed with this. The author has a remarkable knack of drawing you into each chapter, making me laugh and cry in the same chapter. Was drawn to this book as its about South Africa and even though I know it well I was shocked and fascinated by Maruis' tale. I also have to mention that the narrator is fantastic as well. He really knows how to draw the listener in. I urge everyone to listen to this even if it is JUST to hear about growing up in a country that had such a tumultuous past as I think the author captures beautifully.
