This book resonates with me on so many levels despite the fact that I have nothing in common with Ruth apart from being a similar age. The feelings she writes about and how she looks at her life both past, present and future are inspirational to me as a woman just about to enter my 60’s. There is an ordinariness about her that makes me feel despite her awesome achievements she is just like me and lots of other women, she could be one of my friends and I think if I knew her she would be. Well done Ruth, I have often felt, recently like my life is an egg timer with sand running and more of it in the bottom than the top. Your book has made me, take stock, place more value on the experiences I’ve had, accept who I am in the present and look forward more positively. Thank you.
