OUR MOST NOTORIOUS CRIMINALS HAVE HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT.
UNTIL NOW...

'Emily' is a devoted single mother.

'Jack' starts a new job in a new town.

They both share the same secret:
neither of them are who they say they are.

They are among only nine criminals in the UK who have been granted lifelong anonymity, for their own safety, because of their terrible crimes.

But what if someone exposed their true identities to the families of their victims, who are desperate for revenge?

Probation officer Olivia Campbell is caught in the crossfire of this crisis - and as the search for the mole behind it all intensifies, so too does the hunt for the vigilante killers let loose by the leaks...

RIGHT OR WRONG?
CRIMINAL OR VICTIM?
REDEMPTION OR REVENGE?

Hard hitting storyline, with some brutal scenes and viscous characters. Great narration. The same as other reviews have said, I found the first half of the book hard to follow the micro stories embedded and remember which character related to which story - I think naming chapters with some sort of reference would have worked as I had to go back and re listen from the beginning of the chapter a few times. Having said that I was interested and invested enough to want to carry on and overall I did enjoy the book.

Hard hitting storyline, with some brutal scenes.

This is a complex subject in my view and all sides were explored in the book without losing the entertainment value of a story. Hats off to Claire Rushbrook whose performance was incredible and utterly believable - even in those scenes which covered the most extreme emotions. Not my first book by this author and definitely not my last. I was completely absorbed in it and my opinions on the basic premise swayed throughout..

Brilliantly thought-provoking
