Sparks fly between Nicola Albright KC and Geeta Sachdeva, but not the good kind. They're the sort that leave small fires, devastation, and everyone peeping between their fingers at arrogant lawyer, Nicola, on one side, and everyone's favorite mum, Geeta, on the other.

Yet when both are divorced and at a new stage in life, they find themselves living within glowering distance of each other, in beautiful Iffley Village, Oxford. Reluctantly, they call a truce and try to make friends. It's tricky though, when there's more than one reason they've circled and snapped for years.

For a start, Geeta's lawyer daughter, Olivia, idolizes the eminent King's Counsel barrister, to eye rolls from Geeta. And to Nicola's annoyance, her own daughter, Charlotte, has always turned to perfect mama Geeta for comfort and understanding. Animosity between the two is a given.

Until they force themselves to be nice to each other, that is, and then they're compelled to question everything....

read this with headphones on, if you want people to give you strange looks, when you end up uncontrollably laughing, to the point of wet eyes. magnificently well written

Love this series. A thoroughly enjoyable listen, excellent story, great characters, a few LOL moments, and narrated very well as usual! Wish there was another book to follow!

its worth listening to the whole series, just for this book. At present its the last in the series, but I did notice a new one has been released. its just not on WhatsApp yet.

The books and the narrator all get better as the series goes on. you need to listen to them in order for them to make sence. Enjoy 😃

I have loved all three of the Oxford series and this one has just crept up to top spot.
Who knew Nicola could be so soft. Who knew Geeta could be so feisty.
The epilogue just rounded things off nicely.
One to read and listen to again.

I have enjoyed the stories in this series both in written and audiobook form and it was worth the wait for book three to come out in audio . Very good characters and story. Recommended.
