About this listen
Some people get meet-cutes. I get a meet-crash.
When Vincent Forde rear-ends my car, I expect an apology—instead he tosses me a scowl that could melt steel and acts like I’m the problem.
Charming, right?
With his designer suit, smoldering glare, and ego the size of his bank account, Vincent is the very definition of an entitled bosshole.
I figure that’s the last I’ll ever see of Mr. Too-Rich-and-Ridiculously-Handsome.
Except life loves a good punchline.
Guess who struts into my brother’s engagement party like he owns the place?
Yeah, it’s Mr. I’m-Too-Sexy-To-Drive-Properly, lounging by the bar like he’s posing for GQ.
I think I hate him.
Only now, there’s something he wants from me.
There’s a rare perfume ingredient he desperately needs for his fragrance empire.
And Lord of the Scowl is willing to pay me ridiculous money to help get it.
Oh and he also wants me to pretend to be his girlfriend.
As if there’s anything remotely boyfriend-material about him.
Vincent might be the king of the scowl and a walking ego trip, but he’s offering me a deal I can’t refuse.
Even if it means pretending to like the guy who drives me insane.
The more we fake it, though, the more the line between acting and real starts to blur. His charm is aggravating. His confidence is infuriating. His smile is entirely too distracting.
This wasn’t part of the plan. I’m supposed to hate him, not want him. But pretending to be his perfect match is starting to feel all too real...
Perfect (Mis)Match is a sizzling enemies-to-lovers romance packed with sharp banter, fiery chemistry, and all your favorite tropes: billionaire bosshole, fake relationship, and brother’s best friend. With a grumpy, guarded hero and a heroine who’s more than ready to knock him down a peg, get ready for the perfect storm of wit, tension, and heart-stopping twists.

Piper is not happy to see Vincent after their altercation that morning and his second impression is not much better when he alternates between asking her to pretend to be his girlfriend and ignoring him. The tables are about to turn when he needs a favor and that is when the fun really begins.
Despite their different lifestyles and their less than ideal first meeting there is no denying the feelings they are developing for each other as they take us on a journey that includes humor, a little turmoil, and an unexpected love. Abigail Reno portrays the spunky personality of Piper while Christopher Ashman portrayed the grouchy side of Vincent.

Firstly the narrators were both new to me and I have to say totally impressed me with their performances...Abigail Reno and Christopher Ashman both did an excellent job at telling this story.Their portrayals of Piper and Vincent, was very expressive and I loved listening to them.
Piper and Vincent don't meet in the best of circumstances,as they crash their cars into eachother and so their first impressions of one another is of annoyance and anger.
Vincent runs a perfume company and is very wealthy and grumpy he is used to getting what he wants. So when he meets Piper and she is fiesty and stands up to him I think he is more than intrigued.
Piper is a freelance photographer and will now be late for her appointment thanks to Vincent,he is annoyingly handsome and delusional if he thinks that the crash is her fault.
So not a good start and this is only their first meeting their second would be at Piper's step brothers enagement party...Because Vincent is friends with Piper's Step brother Paul, and this bit of news is a shock when they see one another.
Anyway words are exchanged and they end up in a predicament were Piper ends up being in a fake relationship with Vincent...and thats not all Piper ends up helping Vincent locate a key ingredient for his next perfume.
Which has Piper working for him and going to Hawaii to spend time with an older couple who have that flower growing on their property...Still as a fake couple.
But the snarky, snappy remarks begin to dissipate as they get to know one another and enjoy being together.
There is an attraction and chemistry sizzling between them and as time passes it builds up until one day it just explodes into Passion.
They discover they make a great team professionally, personally and sexually falling hard and fast..but not being able to tell eachother and so still keeping up the Facade of being Fake ,when it was obviously real..the feelings they had for eachother were very real.
But Vincent has issues because of his Dad and doesn't believe in love and marriage, relationships don't last but work does..He is a workaholic and this could lead to the demise of his relationship with Piper.
Vincent is a sweetheart behind all the grumpiness he has a heart of gold and cares for the people he loves..He will do anything for anyone..but sometimes he totally disregards other peoples feelings especially when it comes to his company.
Piper has her own ambitions and dreams and doesn't compromise on them, she is a hard worker and talented.
I really loved them both especially when they were together.
I thought Leslie North's writing was very well put together and addicting it flowed easily and the story was very steamy and sweet too..Vincent is a secret romantic..swoon !!
I loved listening to this audiobook and hope the other books in this series are in audio because now I want to listen to them all.
Brilliant.
