Enjoyed the story and very well read, but was the narrator sitting in an aviary with a water feature tinkling in the background ?

Otherwise great. Classic Dick Francis, only spoilt at times by the suspicion that this recorded in a very amateur way.

Learnt a lot about veterinary medicine, very different from his other books. Not so fast paced as others, and he seems to find a new love in every book, but a good listen, and had no idea of who did it until the last chapter. Worth a read and a credit.
