About this listen

For more than 20 years, John Gray's Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus has helped couples deepen their intimacy and rejuvenate their love lives. Men and women, it revealed, communicate so differently, we might as well be from different planets. By learning to speak each other's language, millions of people dramatically improved, even saved their relationships.

But the world has changed.

Today, what it means to be a man or a woman is more nuanced and complex than ever. Both men and women are now freer to move beyond the restrictions of traditional gender roles to embrace their authentic selves.

But gender freedom shouldn't mean gender blindness. Men and women are still fundamentally different on a hormonal level. Our new needs in today's evolving and stressful fast-paced world - to remain healthy and happy hormonally and in the context of our relationships - are also fundamentally different.

As the roles of men and women evolve, relationships must evolve as well. To meet our new needs, we require a new kind of relationship.

In Beyond Mars and Venus, Gray takes the Mars-Venus framework to the next level, helping listeners to grow together in love. Through real-life examples and simple exercises, Beyond Mars and Venus shows you how to bring you and your partner closer than ever before.

Thank you John, so much useful information in these pages! I will certainly have to re-listen to the book and do your free course too, to help the information sink in. Thank you for dedicating your life to helping men and women understand each other better. Thinking in terms that we are from two different planets definitely helps for the message to come through clearer. I have read your original book as well and found it really insightful at the time. Thanks again for all you and your daughter do.

A GEM of a book!

I found this book so very insightful, and I can not help but think, this should be widely available to us when we are growing up and starting our (sometimes terrible) relationships. I wish I knew at least a glimpse of it a lot sooner, but nevertheless I am just happy I came across this book now.

Should be a lecture in school.

I enjoyed the first book but I'm struggling with this. It seems the same points are getting repeated in different ways. I don't understand why. It's giving me a headache! I've learned anything yet but I will keep listening on in the hope it'll get better.

Disappointing so far...

a good follow up but not a great one. I enjoyed the psychological/behavioural aspects of the book and the role mate soul mate concept for modern times .

what I did not like was the simplistic attitude that menopausal women can prevent taking hrt by charting their cycle with the new moon/fullmoon and eating better/doing activitues that boost estrogen. also the scaremongering of hrt causes cancer. not really keen on a relationship advisor telling people hrt in unnecessary - a woman's body is her own to choose what is best for her. yes knowing about feminine cycles, biology is supportive and useful but not a simple magic cure fir menopause symptoms .

a good follow up to the 1st Venus Mars book
