This is a fun and entertaining story that blends humour with an important lesson about responsibility and effort. Benny is a relatable character, and his excitement about having a robot do all his work quickly turns into a chaotic and eye-opening experience. The story keeps young readers engaged with its playful tone while gently showing why shortcuts don’t always lead to the best outcomes. Overall, it’s a charming and thoughtful read that both kids and parents can enjoy together.

The struggle Benny faces with his schoolwork is something that will resonate with almost any child who would rather be outside playing than sitting at a desk. When the robot takes over his responsibilities, the initial relief is great, but the story moves into a very interesting direction as Benny starts to lose his grip on his own learning. It’s a smart narrative that stays focused on the interactions between the boy and his new mechanical helper. The pacing is fast and the situations are very relatable, showing that even the coolest technology can’t replace the effort we put in.

Kids can pick up so many meaningful lessons just by listening to this. One of the biggest is that chaos is normal, things don’t always go as planned but Benny shows that you can still grow from the mess. Instead of giving up or panicking, he learns to stay calm, make better choices, and handle problems on his own. It’s a great reminder for kids that mistakes aren’t failures...they’re opportunities to build confidence and resilience.

Mistakes are part of learning.

We really liked listening to this because Benny feels like a real kid that you might know from your own school. He gets a robot to help him be lazy, but he soon learns that having a machine do your work can cause big problems. The part where the robot cleans his room was my favorite because every kid wishes they had help with that. It is a very light and happy story that moves quickly from one funny moment to the next. It is a great pick for anyone who loves robots and funny family stories.
