Fall in love with this audio-first charmer from number-one New York Times best-selling author Susan Mallery!

When Nissa Lang’s house sitting job falls through, she’s left with no place to stay for the summer. While she’s figuring out what to do, her old family friend Desmond Stilling hears about her dilemma and invites her to stay on his palatial estate. Trouble is, Nissa’s always had a crush on Desmond, so she’ll have to keep her feelings under wraps....

Ever since Desmond was shipped off to boarding school as a child, Nissa’s tight-knit family was the closest thing he ever had to a real family of his own. Her brother invited him into their clan, and he’d never betray their trust by giving in to the hidden attraction he’s always harbored for Nissa.

But as the season heats up, the two get to know each other in a whole new way. Will their summer together be fleeing - or will it lead to the love of a lifetime?

Worst female narrator ever. Sounds like a computer generated voice. Almost gave up because of it and I certainly won’t listen to anything by her again. The story was ok. A bit Prince Charming but it past the time. Would have been really put out if it had been a paid for book

Cute story. Awful narration

Good story but the intonation of the female narrator was very robotic and took a while to get used to.

I love this story. It doesn't have the annoying cluelessness that's in so many love stories. The characters are relatable and likeable.

I don't understand why so many reviewers complain about the female narrator. I've listened to several books that are narrated by her and I find her to be a talented voice actor. The male narrator is a great voice actor.
All of the characters have their own voices. Their personalities and emotions are conveyed perfectly. Not an easy task when intense emotions need to be portrayed. They make the story real. What more can you ask for?
The story deals with terminal illness and organ donation amongst other things.
It takes a really good author to write an intense, detailed story with fully formed, believable characters. Ones that to anyone with a heartbeat are instantly real and lovable. It takes very talented voice actors to read it without it loosing something along the way. All but one very minor character become sweet, lovable people that you really care about.
The story flows beautifully from start to finish.

Desire is touched on several times and full physical intimacy is gently detailed once. This is done very tastefully. I find that Susan Mallery is always tasteful in describing love making but especially so in this book.

10/10 - Highly recommended!

A beautiful story. Great narrators.

Absolutely loved this book. Everything was right about it. Couldn’t stop listening to it until the end. Just hope my next on is as good. The narrators are perfect for the story and the right accents.
