After THAT ending in book one… I was desperate for closure and this delivered. This second INSTALMENT picks up right where we left off, with all the intensity, tension, and emotional chaos.
Violet & Cade are stuck in a sticky situation and the only way out is for cade to make a deal with the devil, violet is still reeling from what happened to her and is determined to find & save her friend. Cue cade& violet getting involved in a dangerous mission with lots of spicy twists in between. It seems even through the chaos they still cant get enough of eachother and cade is still determined to fulfill all of violets ark desires, and my goodness did he DELIVER.
Violet’s determination and Cade’s dark, magnetic presence pulled me right back in, James and Zoe did another incredible job bringing these characters to life. The tension, the vulnerability, and edginess felt so real and made for such a gripping story.
This duet as a whole is dark, addictive, and emotionally charged, but book two delivers what book one leaves you desperate for.

I really enjoyed this one, if you enioy stories that are a bit dark, with an age gap, stalker, alter ego, off limits and spice with some geeky hacker/analyst stuff thrown in, a wee bit of politics and mafia, and a good, bad guy (or a bad, good guy 🤷‍♀️) that's a bit golden retriever, this is an entertaining easy listen on audio book, I loved Cade and Violet and how their story ended up and I'm actually really looking forward to seeing what Enzo's duet has in store, also the narration is so good with this one.

Probably more like 4.2 ⭐'s

I really loved this sequel and honestly had so much fun being back with these characters again.

I think book 1 still has a slight edge for me just because I loved the whole dynamic of Vi and Cade getting to know each other, and all the fun tension of Vi not knowing who Ghost really was. But this book brought other things that book 1 didn’t, and I loved that too (without spoiling anything 👀).

The banter was once again one of my favourite parts. I love when a book can be dark but still have humour and fun moments mixed in, and this series does that so well.

The tension in this book was NEXT LEVEL, and the spice? top notch 👌🔥 Written so well and somehow even more intense this time around.

I also listened to the audiobook again and both narrators did such a fantastic job bringing the characters to life.

Loved all the characters, and I already need more Enzo immediately 😭

Such an addictive series and I already can’t wait for the next book.

After the cliff hanger in the last one I’ve been eagerly waiting on this audio to drop and it did not disappoint! Picking up exactly where we left off, right in the middle of the action.
This book moves everything up a notch with Cade and Vi’s relationship, the crazy situations around them and the kinks they explore! Cade was once again just perfect!
Plenty of action here to keep you on the edge of your seat and another good twist you may not be expecting when things come to a head. Loved you got a look at their lives after all these events as well. Great end to this duet the narrators just nailed the characters.

Love, Love, Loved this book. A lot of people can't look past the dirty, acted-out fantasies. But that's what it is, it's acted out and consensual. Can't wait for Enzo's duet
