After his mother's abduction, Roland de Grateloup—only son of the High Witch, confirmed bachelor and rake, and werewolf—has fled London for the quiet village of Netherford.
The prospect of a whole season among country folk yawning ahead of him, he returns to his favorite hobby: matchmaking.
