I love Lisa's comforting northern tones as she recites her poems and have listened to this collection on several occasions. There are laugh out loud moments when it sounds like she's been distracted by thoughts in her head as she reads and moving pieces as she ponders our mortality.

Whilst it's written from the female perspective this can be enjoyed by all.

Am looking forward to a second collection...

This little book of beautifully written poems really packs a punch! It is witty, warm, evocative and thought-provoking. The range of subjects pulls you emotionally in all directions, and I found myself laughing, crying, shocked, appalled and deeply moved. I recognised many of the situations and sentiments, a resonance that was comforting and thrilling.

I love the fact that the poet’s view of the world, of life and of relationships can shift easily between soft-focus and razor-edged, and you get the double delight of her voice metaphorically and literally. She is the perfect conduit of her own work with a powerful, expressive, tender and poignant delivery! More of this please Lisa!
