 TV producer Fliss Benson receives an anonymous card at work. The card has sixteen numbers on it, arranged in four rows of four - numbers that mean nothing to her.

On the same day, Fliss finds out she's going to be working on a documentary about miscarriages of justice involving cot-death mothers wrongly accused of murder. The documentary will focus on three women: Helen Yardley, Sarah Jaggard and Rachel Hines. All three women are now free, and the doctor who did her best to send them to prison for life, child protection zealot Dr Judith Duffy, is under investigation for misconduct.

This book was recommended to me so I had high hopes despite the average reviews.
Unfortunately I have to agree with them, the story lacks something & I wasn’t gripped. I also found the ending quite disappointing in that so many aspects of the story other than the ‘who dunnit’ remained unanswered.
I felt that key characters were just abandoned when I’d have liked some resolution for them too.
Also the lead women are somewhat infuriating so you don’t really care what happens to them.

Sophie Hanna is among my favorite writers,however this book was not as good as others I've read by her. The idea for the story is good, but it gets dry and boring in places. I didn't feel as if I got to know the characters very well. And I was left with a lot of questions by the end of the book. Also, there weren't any Cliffhangers throughout the story making it not so exciting. I do not recommend this book.

What made the experience of listening to A Room Swept White the most enjoyable?

The way in which the story was laid out made it two books for the price of one.
The suspense makes it hard to put down.
