A fast paced mystery novel with believable characters. The premise of the book is different to other thrillers - a great read

I was kindly sent a copy of this original and interesting debut novel by the author. This is an intriguing concept involving a university fossil hunter as our lead character. I feel that this book comes across as more a mystery and thriller combination, especially towards the end., which is quite fast paced. There are some well developed characters and plot lines, maybe a little more suspense in places and some of the pace slowed down, but I did enjoy reading this one and looking forward to the next one in the series, to see how the characters develop and move on. Some good writing here and well worth a read. I think this could be the start of a great series.
