Isla Davon is a brilliant author, and this series has me in a chokehold that I am not scared to admit makes me very excited. the audio is brilliant, too! bring in the next one.

This was my 2nd series of audios. I took a chance on the first book, in which im glad i did ! it was a slow start, but the story soon picked up, with build up of the characters relationship development. Have to say Annex kept me commiting to this book.

Book 2 carried on from the last and we see the progression of the characters relationships. im intrigued to see, how the relationship between Macai and Mallyn will progress. And also how Creed will stop denying and admit to his feelings to the MFC.

We are still seeing the development of the MFC, and looking forward to find out what becomes of her and the further challenges that comes her and her men's way.

The story has action, spice, emotion and banter.

The narrators done good in bringing the characters to life. Corvin King voice made Annex come alive!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I loved these 2 books but didn't realise it wasn't a full set. It ends on a cliffhanger and book 3 isn't out and google said it will be 4 books total. I enjoyed the narration and found the story to be very creative.

The narrator truly brought this story to life with their performance—every emotion, every moment was delivered with such depth and energy. They did an outstanding job and made the entire experience unforgettable.

Book 2 picks up right where Book 1 left off, and it did not disappoint. Micai is hands-down my favorite FMC of all time—her strength, resilience, and heart are just spectacular. I adored watching her grow even more in this installment.

Annex, Ezra, and Mallyn? Literal heart-eyes 🥰🥰🥰. Their bond with Micai is everything—protective, possessive, and deeply emotional. The way their relationship evolves had me hooked, and yes… the spicy scenes? 🔥🔥🔥 Perfection.

I loved seeing Morgan and Micai become friends—it felt so genuine and empowering. And seeing Micai’s friends finally get what they deserve was so satisfying. The only thing I missed was more of Gadriel! I’m dying to see how that dynamic unfolds and how the boys will react when it does.

Creed is still driving me crazy—he better crawl for forgiveness because Micai deserves nothing less. And Annex? My ultimate MMC. No one compares. Ever.

Book 3 cannot come fast enough. I’m counting down the days!

I could not put this down, it's been all consuming and I'm gutted the third book isn't available on audible yet. I'll be binge reading the KU version of the third as soon as I can and then I'll likely re-oisten to the full series in a couple months when the audible version is released.

With a well written story and a fantastic performance from the voice actors, I would really recommend these! The only con I found to the story is that it can be a bit repetitive at times and the FMC thoughts/ monologue can be as though she's just going on about the same things but that does shape the character and likely wouldn't be as frustrating if I wasn't listening to the book within a couple days!
