A historical romance set in London, a small English town, and Paris. Remarkably well-crafted, with nuanced male and female characters, this book launched Georgette's 53-book best-selling career.

I have been particularly collecting Georgette Heyer and other audio titles for year and this is absolutely the WORST audio book I have ever had the misfortune to buy.
The readers voice is monotonous and totally lacking in any inflection or characterisation. I'm sorry i didn't ask for a refund within the time frame. The nexus or BBC audio books are the best

not worth it!

Really poor recording, the sound quality dreadful really fuzzy only listened to the first short section before I gave up. Listen and read to lots of other stories from this author but haven't used this voice over production before.

Poor quality

It's cheap for a reason - the amateurish American narration makes it impossible to listen to and out of context for a very English story.

I enjoyed reading the Kindle book, but this audible reading is absolutely awful. I cannot understand how anyone could consider that this was an acceptable reading of a Georgette Heyer novel.

Absolutely dreadful reading
