About this listen

Beyond undeniable passion is fierce love....

Jesse Ward drowned her with his intensity and blindsided her with his passion, but he kept her away from his dark secrets and broken soul. Leaving him was the only way Ava O'Shea could survive, but she should have known that Jesse Ward is impossible to escape.

Now he's back in her life, determined to remind her of the sensual pleasures they had shared, but Ava is equally determined to get at the truth beneath this man's steely exterior. That means letting herself get close to the Lord of the Manor once more. And it's exactly where Jesse wants her - within touching distance....

Includes a brand-new bonus scene from Jesse's perspective.

It's a little bit better then the first one, more interesting, a little bit more action because you get to understand more. Still a lot of sex but in the same time you discover Jessie.

Better then the first one.

If you could sum up Beneath This Man in three words, what would they be?

Blistering, Funny & Fascinating

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beneath This Man?

After Ava walks in on Jessie being whipped by Sarah, she flees absolutely devastated by what she has witnessed. But she then requires answers. Jessie confesses his deep flaws and sins to her but insists she cannot possibly understand how much he loves her and has let her down. After Ava has had herself whipped to show Jessie that it is possible to understand how much He loves her. That she loves him every bit as much. That He is the only one who can drive her away by hurting himself, and that if he does it again she will hurt herself again also. The absolute wonder of Jessie when he finally puts it together, that despite all his sins of his past life Ava really does love him and understands.

Have you listened to any of Edita Brychta’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I have listened to Edita Brychta's performance of This Man and she continues her excellent narration. She is a joy to listen to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes very much so

Any additional comments?

Jodi Ellen Malpas's first book "This Man" was quite spectacular for a first time author. Her sequel "Beneath This Man" is every bit as spectacular if not more so. Quite a feat for a sequel novel. I can't wait for the third part of Jessie & Ava's story.

Sensational Sequel to This Man

I'd say it's in my top ten. After listening to This Man I was dying to find out where Jessie and Ava were going next I was not disappointed

What did you like best about this story?

The fact Ava seams to grow in confidence and defy Jesse's overbearing personality further really made me laugh out loud in parts.

What does Edita Brychta bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

She's brilliant she gives life to the character's especially Tom even though he's not in the book very much and she really gives Jesse an air of mischief. Definitely a job well done
