I spent this entire audiobook thinking “I flipping love Axel Hawthorne”. Is he morally black? Yes. Does he do things that make red flags look green? Also yes. Is he a perfect embodiment of ‘man falls head over heels and has no idea what to do’? Yes! This was perfection. I wholeheartedly enjoyed this duet and recommend to anyone who loves (real) enemies to lovers and all the delicious tropes a dark romance deserves.
